40 Hour Challenge 2016 – June 10-12

This term, the World Vision 40 hour famine Student Committee is inviting the Sancta Maria College community – students, parents, staff and teachers, to once again join them in supporting the “40 Hour Famine One weekend One backpack’ challenge. It’s a great activity for the entire family to get involved in! If the backpack challenge isn’t for you, choose a more traditional 40 hour challenge like not talking, going without technology or giving up food for 20 to 40 hours. The money raised will go to support children and their families affected by conflict in Syria by providing them with child friendly spaces in Jordan.

A number of fundraising activities have been undertaken during the early part of this term such as a bake sale and sausage sizzle. A series of exciting events are being planned for next week such as 40 Hour Famine mufti day, Colour Run, and the 40 Hour Famine One weekend One backpack challenge stay-over for seniors.

Everyone can help out by supporting these activities and by gathering sponsors for the main event.
