Enrolment Process for Sancta Maria College for 2018

In 2017, Applications for enrolment open* on 22 March 2017 and close on 31 May 2017 at 4 pm the year prior to attendance. Priority is given to in accordance with the College’s Enrolment Scheme (see below).

*The specific date will be determined each year and will be published on our website; in the local community newspapers; feeder school and local parish newsletters. This date will co-inside with the College Annual Open Day.

The School Auditorium 

All are welcome to join one of the guided tours taking place from 3.30 pm until 4.30 pm and collect an Enrolment Application Pack for 2018 from our staff in the Auditorium. 

The Principal's presentation will commence at 4.45 pm in the Auditorium.

 

PRIORITY OF ENROLMENT 

Sancta Maria College has a Ministry of Education approved enrolment scheme that has clearly defined priorities of enrolment.  Please see separate description with boundaries identified.

NOTE:       Incomplete Application Forms that do not include all required information will not be processed and will be returned.

NOTE: For enrolments at Year Levels 8 to 13 first priority will be in accordance with Priority 3 above.

In the event that there are more applicants within any of the priority categories than there are spaces available, enrolments will be prioritised in the following order and then, if required, by an independently supervised ballot.

  • Applicants who are siblings of current students

  • Applicants who are currently enrolled in other Catholic Primary Schools

  • Parents / Caregivers who are regularly and actively involved in parish ministries

  • Applicants who attend St Marks School Pakuranga, Our Lady Star of the Sea School or Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School (Reference Priority 5 & 6 only)

  • All other applicants

 

ZONE DESCRIPTION

Starting at the Otara Creek, the zone boundary follows the Tamaki River northwards and follows the coastline around Musick Point, around Whitford, Beachlands and Maraetai until the Wairoa River.

Follow the Wairoa River and across to the intersection of North Road, Twilight Road and Papakura-Clevedon Road.

From there, a line is drawn westward until the intersection of Whitford Park Road and Sandstone Road, so as to exclude Ara-Kotinga, Kimpton Road and Polo Lane.

Follow Sansdstone Road until Ormiston Road, including Regis Lane and Shepherds Lane. From there, follow Ormiston Road to the west including turning south into Murphys Road.

Follow Murphys Road until Thomas Road. Head west down to Thomas Road (south sides excludes) and Dawson Road (south sides excluded) until Te Irirangi Drive.

Head north along Te Irirangi Drive (west side excluded until Belinda Avenue. From there, follow a line around Belinda Avenue (excluded), and Rongomai Road (excluded), until the intersection of Rongomai Road and Dawson Road.

Head north along Preston Road (west side excluded), East Tamaki Road (west side excluded) and Springs Road (west side excluded) until Kerwyn Avenue.

Head west along Kerwyn Avenue and south down Andromeda Crescent until the Otara Creek.

NOTE
Both sides of boundary roads are included in the zone, unless otherwise stated.
