It was a busy day at the heats held at the Point Chevalier R.S.A. where the Auckland Jazz & Blues Club hosted The Auckland Jazz Competition last weekend.
The heats take place over two weekends. There are about 18 colleges besides Sancta Maria College, participating in this event.
Our Jazz ensembles practiced hard and even had rehearsals during the term break under the guidance of Mr Cho. We entered 5 jazz bands: The Blues Clues, The Jazz Cocoons, Sancta Maria College – Big Band, The Blues Notes and The Swingin’ 8s.
The finals will take place on 11th August. Good luck to all our ensembles.
