A growing sport within our school, Year 9 and 10 have just finished a 6 week after school programme of skills and games coached by Robbie from Auckland Badminton Association and supported by our own A grade players Clive Luna, Roanne Apalosik, Alistair Lee, Henry Hoh and Calvin Pang.
This has followed a similar activity programme of badminton in Term 1 for Y7 and 8 run by Mrs Havell. Sixteen senior students have been playing in the ASS Badminton Competition at Lloyd Elsmore and next term twelve Year 7 and 8 players will compete at Lloyd Elsmore in an Auckland East Intermediate Schools competition.
