The Year 10 Careers Day provided an opportunity for the students to think about their future.
The day involved the students moving around 5 workshops:
Workshop 1 – AUT University students challenged the Year 10s to start thinking about which study pathway they may want to pursue at University.
Workshop 2 – Personality Puzzle centred on thinking about their personality type and how this may help with career planning.
Workshop 3 – Gave an introduction to NCEA, helping them to understand NCEA and how to approach it as a senior student.
Workshop 4 – Focused on career planning and exploration, looking at possible future career pathways and the world of work.
Workshop 5 – Involved team building activities and games.
