Casey, aiming for big things in sport

Casey Lototau is an up and coming young sportswomen attending Sancta Maria College.

Despite only being in Year 7 Casey already has many achievements under her belt while playing touch rugby and netball.

Casey first started playing touch just last year and has already represented Auckland Under 12s.

In January this year she played for the Auckland Touch Rugby team at the big IPS tournament in Rotorua. They successfully made it to the final, but unfortunately they had to settle for a silver medal after a 4-2 loss against Waikato.

Casey began playing netball two years ago and has recently been named in the Mangere Otahuhu Netball Representatives team for Year 7. Her team has a few tournaments coming up, particularly one in July when they are going to travel to the Gold Coast, where they will compete against teams from America and possibly Russia.

Casey is planning to continue with her sports, and hopes to go on to play professionally in adult leagues.
