Sancta Maria College had the privilege of hosting two FDNY (Fire Department City of New York) Chiefs who gave a powerful presentation to a group of Year 13 students about their experiences when working as a part of the emergency response team in New York during the 9/11 operation.
Mr Hayden, retired Chief of Department, and Mr Steve San Filippo, Battalion Chief, were both deployed to ‘Ground Zero’ following the September 11 attacks, joining their colleagues in their search and rescue operation.
