Creativity and fashion sense

“It was really great opportunity to have such an amazing experience. I was really happy with my successful design and show. I just want to say thank you to all of my supporters.”

This is Yuria Haga’s reaction to winning the Streetwear section and receiving a $500 fashion prize in the Walk the Line competition during New Zealand fashion Week.

This is the 8th year the Walk the Line competition has been held, and it is brought to the public by YMCA’s youth development programme, Raise Up. It is the only fashion show during New Zealand Fashion week run by youth, for the youth.

Yuria designed a white match set, with details of blue and red and Japanese wording on the sides, pairing it with a red cap. Yuria, pictured with Mrs Rehu (HOD Technology) spent weeks carefully working on the outfit and the competition allowed her to showcase her creativity and amazing fashion sense.
