Environment Week – Day 5

The entire school put on their winter woolies for the cold day ahead on “Warm day”. This was to top off a successful Enviro week but to also kick of the “Switch it Off!” Campaign.

Students wore warm clothing to school for a good cause. Students should be aware of their electricity consumption as on a warm day! All heaters and lights were asked to be turned off. Throughout the day, there were hot water bottle refills and hot soup served at lunchtime to keep the students from winter chills.
As a result, Enviroweek 2016 ended well. On that day, our electricity consumption was 1443.7 KWH compared with the previous Monday’s consumption of 3001.2 KWH. Great result!! A saving of about $297.00! Amazing for just one day!
