Jazz Night featured artist – Peter Brzozowski

“Jazz is life,” says trumpet player Peter Brzozowski, a member of Sancta Maria College’s Big Band with a passion for jazz.

Also a piano player, Peter, now in Year 12, has been playing the trumpet since Year 7. The sound of the trumpet being played by his older brother attracted Peter to the instrument and he decided to try it out.

Not only does he play in the College’s big band, he also plays jazz in a brass band out of school. In his opinion jazz is the coolest type of music and is by far the most fun to play.

Peter is looking to continue his jazz career and is planning to study Jazz Trumpet at Auckland University.

Come along to Jazz Night and hear Peter and his jazz trumpet. You certainly will not be disappointed.

Jazz Night – at the College – Friday, September 21, 6.30-8pm. Tickets only $8 Adults, $6 Students (children under 10 are free) when pre- ordered through the school cashier.
