Passionate, ambitious and dedicated, Katrina Chan is among 9 New Zealanders carefully selected to participate in a 2-week UN Youth Pacific Project in the July holidays. The project aims to educate students on New Zealand’s relationship with the Pacific and an aspect of this includes Katrina and 8 other high school students attending the UN Youth Australia National Conference held in Adelaide, Australia.

A sea of cupcakes, brownies and cookies greeted Sancta Maria College students on the day of the bake sale, held in support of the World Vision 40-hour famine. Thursday lunchtime was a frenzy of eager students, with coins being exchanged for sweets at the speed of sound.

Last week was Library Week with ‘Murder by the Book’ murder mystery as one of the activities. There were clues around the library to help solve the mystery, including a cryptic message. The mystery? To find out who killed Mrs Terry, the motive behind the killing and how she was killed.
