There is a full-on itinerary for Library Week, so full it started today, when our Year 11s and some of our Year 12s were fortunate to hear author Brian Falkner talk about his experiences as a writer.
Coming up next week we have three more authors visiting the school, Kate de Goldi on Monday, Tim Tipene on Tuesday, and Thursday it will be the turn of David Riley. All year groups will have the opportunity to be addressed by at least one of the authors.
The Library will also be running “Murder by the Book” throughout the week, challenging students to use clues to solve the mystery and submit their solution. Thursday sees a Harry Potter Wand Making competition and on Friday we have the Big Lit Quiz, when teams of students will pit their knowledge of literature and trivia against teams of teachers.
All in all a fascinating and exciting week ahead.
