Netball Prems score another win

Saturday saw the second week of competition at AMI Netball club for Sancta Maria College’s Premier Netball Team. The girls battled their way through four quarters of intense play against Howick College, resulting in a 43-32 win.

The team played excellently today, being ahead at the end of all four quarters. The girls are performing exceptionally well this year, winning all of their games so far. They won all seven of their grading games and won their first competition game last weekend against Pakuranga College.

The team has been training three times a week and the girls have put in a lot of hard work to produce the results they are achieving. One of the team members said, “It felt very good to win against Howick as they usually beat us. We are all excited about the next game!”

One of the netball team, Holly Maunsell-Young, has injured her finger. All of the girls wish her a quick recovery and wish all of the other netball teams the best of luck for their upcoming games.
