This year’s KBB Festival was a spectacular event for the musical ensembles of many Auckland schools and Sancta Maria College was no exception, with our Big Band, Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra all picking up awards.
The afternoon awards ceremony was attended by Chamber Orchestra violinist Sandra Heruela and Concert Band percussionist Danica Loulie-Wijtenburg, along with Mr Gibbs. The girls are pictured above with the Chamber Orchestra’s Commended Award and the Concert Band’s Bronze Award.
These awards have been well earned by our students, who have practised hard all year for one of the biggest events in the musical calendar for Auckland schools.
