As part of our working relationship with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Sancta Maria College welcomed four of their players to conduct a workshop with our Chamber Orchestra players.
Katherine Hebley (cello), William Hanfling (violin), Jenni Mori (flute) and Steven Logan (percussion) coached our students on the finer points of ensemble playing, helping them get in to shape for our upcoming performances at the Uxbridge Centre (this coming Friday) and the KBB Festival in August.
It was a wonderful session which the students thoroughly enjoyed and there was a noticeable step up in their playing by the end of the session. We would like to thank the APO for its marvelous mentoring and look forward to them joining us again next weekend, when they will work with members of our Light Orchestra and Primo Ensemble.
