Powhiri to welcome New Caledonian students and teachers

This morning 21 students and their 3 teachers from Lycée Blaise Pascal, a Catholic, co-ed college in Noumea, New Caledonia, were welcomed with a powhiri performed by our Kapa Haka, culminating in a hongi.

Our guests responded by performing a traditional New Caledonian dance.

The students from New Caledonia will be here from Monday the 7th to Sunday the 13th of May, staying with families of Sancta Maria College.

During the week they will be participating in a variety of activities across the Auckland region, such as visiting the centre of Auckland, Rainbows End and the islands of the gulf.

We wish them all a safe and enjoyable time while they are here.
