Practice makes perfect

The production cast of ‘Grease’ has been together since the beginning of this year and has formed a tightly knit group. During the first week of the holidays, the cast had rehearsals which improved their technique and choreography for most of the dances and scenes.

The cast all enjoyed laughing at mistakes we made and little jokes Mrs Oliver had up her sleeve. This week saw us bond even more than the camp we went to a few weeks back.

These practices involved running through the whole show multiple times. One of the days was a dress rehearsal which involved the whole cast bringing in their 60’s themed clothes. ‘Greased Lightning’ was always a favourite song to perform for many as it involved many tricks the boys could do with the help of Cameron Carter-Chan.

After a few days of separate practices by the ensemble and the band, we all came together to go through the whole show multiple times. Everything started to fit together, and soon the show was almost perfect!

There will soon be a full-school mufti day, a Zumba event and a School Social in order to fundraise for the production. Tickets for the shows will be sold on Eventfinda soon, so keep a keen eye out!
