Sea Week

Sea week runs from the 3rd -11th March to raise awareness of how litter gets into the oceans, harming sea life and birds.

It encourages students to put all rubbish in the bin. It is New Zealand’s annual national week about the sea, hosted by NZ Association for Environmental Education. Sea week focuses on learning from and about the sea. Here at Sancta Maria College the environment team under the leadership of Mrs McCreath and Dr Laux are doing their bit.
Here is what the enviro team have planned for the week:

Poster competition
Soft plastics collection
Chalk art on the courtyard

Together we can all help save our sea life and oceans.
