Standing together against bullying

Being a bystander to bullying changes nothing. We notice it happening around us yet we never do anything to stop it. As Albert Einstein once said, “The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.”

During this anti-bullying week students had the opportunity do something about it, collectively.

Junior students participated in decorating their classrooms to advocate against bullying. The windows of classrooms were lined with everything from pink sticky notes to hand-crafted anti-bullying posters.

Meanwhile, the senior students adorned flags with messages to advocate against bullying. These flags were raised high in the main courtyard as a symbol of hope.

On Friday the school was awash in pink shirts to stand in solidarity with those who might be victims of bullying.

Simply, it is not OK to stand in the crowd and watch when bullying is taking place all around us. If you ever notice bullying, please, you must report it.
