Students Against Dangerous Driving

The Year 13 cohort group was able to experience the consequences of a serious car accident first hand.

A group of officers from the New Zealand Police Department and workers from Auckland Transport educated the students about the dangers of texting while driving, drinking and driving as well as drug influenced driving.

The students were able to take valuable information back about the appropriate driving etiquette and the consequences behind driving under the influence. The displays included a car which had been involved in a severe crash, a Police bus and a couple of quizes and games in which we were able to test our knowledge of driving on the road. This event was truly an enjoyable and educational experience for all of us.
