What a day!

What a day it was for the Sancta Maria Premier squad. With their first game in the Premier 2 grade at Auckland this season, the girls were fired up and ready to go from the get-go.

Wanting to win against EGGS Premier 2, whom they lost to by 3 points in grading, these players went in with nothing to lose.

Leading the end of the first quarter by 2 points, the girls kept on lifting each quarter. Different combinations were put into place going into the last quarter and the girls were able to transition very well and keep on playing with the same intensity as in the previous 3 quarters. With such intense and consistent hustling, the girls were able to come out with a well-deserved win scoring an impressive 43-28 victory. A great way to start the day and there were only better things to come.

After being able to play indoors in the morning, these girls had to brave the wet, windy and wild weather at HPNC. This, however, did not stop them from playing their own game and putting up a good fight. Despite the crazy weather, the Premier squad were able to come out with a great win against the Howick Senior 1 team with a score of 31-17.
