Year 11 Retreat

With the morning having very changeable weather, the Year 11s journeyed to the Korean Catholic Church just across the road from school.

Despite the weather conditions, sunny one moment then all of a sudden some showers, we still continued to reflect on our Christian lives. We started off the day rotating through the variety of workshops and also having a chance to have reconciliation with Fr. Kevin.

In between the workshops a member of Attitude came to talk to us about making good and bad choices and also to not be intimidated and brought down by other people. It was explained how, as teenagers, the people around us and especially our parents have high expectations of us as we are heading towards adulthood soon and how we have to face the big wide world of adventure and chaos.

There may be obstacles popping up at the most unexpected times but the important thing is that the people we love would always be with us, by our side, to help us with the struggles and questions we would have to encounter.

Lunch was the most anticipated part for all the Year 11s. With pizza for lunch, we scrambled around and tried to get as many slices as possible as we were exceptionally hungry after a very busy morning.

After the great pizza lunch, we moved into the church and performed a group activity in our homerooms. There were acrobatic performances from each homeroom and singing which was often off key.

Overall, the Year 11 retreat was a rewarding time for the group! Everybody loved the workshops and also the pizza!
