Year 12 Leisure Day Enjoyed by All

Last Thursday, the Year 12s had their Recreation and Leisure Day.

As part of their Level 2 PE curriculum each student had to go out into the community, learning to participate and contribute to become useful members of society as part of their Giving Back to the Community standard.

The action packed day consisted of ice skating, laser tag, bowling and JUMP, where the Year 12s were split into their PE classes to go to their own activities. Many students were challenged by the activities as each person was stronger on specific activities more than others.

There were some who struggled with ice skating, unable to let go of their friends or the barriers for fear of falling. Others could not help but get their bowling balls in the gutter. However, the most important part of this day was the perseverance of all the students that enabled them to improve considerably and allowed them to have an enjoyable day.
