It was a wonderful day as the Year 7 & 8 hockey team played in the Year 7 & 8 SEZ Hockey Tournament.
Even though they lost nearly all their games, they won in their first game against Pakuranga with Matthew O’Neill and Ethan Siao scoring 3 goals. There was also some good play from Reuben Ferguson, Nathan Chin and William Massey.
Although they played really well, they lost to Saint Kentigern’s, Sir Edmund Hillary, Mission Heights, and Farm Cove and ended up with a draw against Howick.
Overall, with 1 win, 4 losses and 1 draw, the team finished in 6th place out of 10 teams. A special thanks to Mrs Cummings, Mr O’Neill and our umpires for making this tournament possible.
