Year 7 and 8 Gymnastics competition

The year 7 and 8 gymnastic team went to Howick gymnastics club to compete in a competition. All though we were nervous we tried our best. We had three apparatuses, beam, vault, and floor.

The first one was beam, it gave us butterflies because of the height of the beam and how thin it was. The second was vault, it was easier and less stressful than the other two apparatuses. The last was floor, it took effort but flew through quickly.

In all of us girl’s opinions it was an interesting and a great experience. Even though we didn’t place, we had fun. We stood out from other schools with our colorful leotards and matching French braid hairdos.

We could have managed our time better so we could warm up and stretch. Next time we should practice earlier in the year to become more sharp and precise. This will make us more confident in our routines and have stronger moves. Although the we could have had more practices we performed well and knew our routines.
