The second year of the Stella Maris Shield brought together Year 7 and 8 students, former pupils and invited guests.
Competing as homerooms the Year 7 and 8 students took part in a variety of challenges such as Religious Drama, prepared and impromptu speeches, Maori and English scripture reading and debate.
The class representatives were judged by members of staff, invited guests including Fr Kevin Murphy, Fr Ezio Blasoni and Fr Craig Dunford and former students including Meggue Cruz, Rebecca Tonacao and Angelika Tienzo.
The day was filled with much enthusiasm and a few nerves as the young students performed admirably. Final results will be announced and trophies presented at Year 7 and 8 prize giving.
