Year 9 Devised Theatre Performance has an anti bullying focus

We tried to have fun during our performance without forgetting the meaning of what we were doing. We realised how big a problem bullying was in the world, and while I haven’t witnessed it, that does not mean it doesn’t exist.

Together with some assistance from Mrs. Collins, we managed to put together a performance portraying how bullying begins, how it affects people and how it can be resolved. Using physical theatre to depict what is going on inside a bully’s mind.

We presented a range of different types of bullying from all of our dramas. From being indifferent to others to becoming violent because of pain. We did our best to depict unique scenarios and even made short advertisements to inform our audience what do if they themselves are getting bullied.

Overall it was amazing to act to convey a very important message to others.
