Sancta Maria College entered 5 talented and highly motivated young contestants into the annual Young Stars Country Music Awards competition.
Their performance was judged by well known Kiwi singers, Alice Fraser and Millie Bradfield. The contestants were: Ethan Karl, Cyprus Causer, Mary Crowe, Milly Corboy and Victoria Chirenje, all dressed in their country best.
Ethan made us proud with his ‘Bad Moon Rising’ that won him second place. Milly got a special mention by Judge Alice Fraser when she announced the winners.
Besides the contestants, there were other professional acts which had the audience clapping to the beat of country favourites.
