On Tuesday it was South African Heritage Day, a public holiday in South Africa to celebrate the different cultures and the diversity of the country. To acknowledge this and to thank the staff for everything they do at the school and for taking care of the students, staff enjoyed traditional and typical South African food and dessert made by the South African students, parents and teachers.
The lunch started with some background information about Heritage Day and the different dishes. There was boerewors, koeksisters, peppermint crisp and more! All agreed they had a fun (and delicious) time. Can’t wait till next year!
Another huge thanks to the parents for putting in their time to prepare the food that made this event possible.
