Students from Sancta Maria College attended the Taekwon-Do New Zealand Nationals at Trust Stadium, Henderson from 29-30 July 2023. There were over 300 competitors participating from across New Zealand over the two-day event. The students represented the Counties Manukau region and performed the following results:
- Merryn Raukura: won 1 gold medal and 1 bronze medal.
- Lucky Do: won 2 bronze medals.
- Caylix Isaia: participant.
- Tallyn Isaia: won 2 bronze medals.
- Madison Isaia: won 2 gold medal and 1 silver medal, also won Best overall female black belt.
- Zinzan Laurenson: won 2 golds and best overall male green belt winner.
A great effort by these Sancta Maria College students – well done!
