Micah McGrail is a Year 9 student who recently represented New Zealand. If that wasn’t enough of an achievement, she was also a medal winner!
From 9 – 11 August 2024, she competed in the GKR Karate World Cup representing New Zealand. She was one of only four teams who managed to get into the finals for team kumite (for 14 – 17 yr old girls); coming up against the top fighters from Australia and UK, held in Sydney Australia.
Micah won a bronze medal for her individual kata, at the GKR World Cup tournament for Karate, saying, “I was very proud to represent New Zealand and bring home a medal.”
Congratulations Micah, we are all very proud of you as all her hard work and talent have been rewarded.
