Sophia Bebelman (Sophie) was a student at Sancta Maria College from 2013 to 2019 when she left to study a Bachelor of Science. After four years of study, she has completed her BSc as well as an honours degree in biomedical science (with straight A+ average). This alone is a rewarding and satisfying feat after years of study, which started at High School.
Her goal was to undertake PhD level research, and she was then awarded a Woolf Fisher Trust Scholarship for 2025. This scholarship provides for a fully funded PhD at Cambridge University in the UK, where she will attend in 2025 to research cancer immunology. We cannot wait to hear how her research project develops – we wish her all the best for her PhD and hope she continues to stay in touch. We are very proud of her.
