From the 17 – 21 February 2025, Sancta Maria College had their annual Spirit Week, to get the school up and running for the ambitious and fabulous athletics day which was on Friday 21 February. The weeks’ activities were competitive, and everyone worked hard but in the end one house won. Here are the results for spirit week:
On Monday, we had our first activity which was Tug of War, and Kororāreka ended up winning! At the same time, we had banner making (for each house) which would be used during athletics day.
On Tuesday, we had our second activity; Bench ball, the house that won for the juniors was Kororāreka, and for the seniors, Waitematā took it home!
On Wednesday, we had our ‘Just Dance’ competition which saw Kororāreka win, once again. At the same time, in the library, a Kahoot was being held and the winning house for the Kahoot was Hokianga.
On Thursday there was multi-sport competition involving a round robin series of face-paced indoor sports. Although everybody worked hard, there could only be one winner and Kororāreka took it out again.
What a wonderful week it was, Kororāreka won most of the activities, and took out the winning house for spirit week! We would also like to thank our wonderful house prefects, for their hard work and dedication. This week was surely full of fun and exciting activities.
