With beautiful skies, scenery and birds, the Year 13 Biology students were lucky enough to take a trip to Tiritiri Matangi Island. On the trip, the students were offered a lecture about evolutionary processes leading to speciation, specifically about the birds that are found on the island and how they developed their characteristics.
A guided bushwalk was also a highlight where the students had the opportunity to walk around the island and explore its unique features while learning about the various species of birds and the history of Tiritiri Matangi Island.
Overall, the trip was indeed a splendid one where the students were able to enjoy the scenery whileenhancing their knowledge about evolution and speciation.
