While many still lay in the comfort of their beds, it was an early rise for the two classes taking Level 2 Biology.
Chaperoned by Mr Williamson, Ms Mohammed and Mrs Muir the 49 students travelled to Tiritiri Matangi Island. Once there, they had tours of the tracks and explanations about various plants and species they saw, especially the native birds like the hihi and takehe.
They were also given specific information relating to their end of year external examination on Genetic Variation.
The trip was interesting and informative thanks to the volunteers on the island who shared their knowledge with us and our teachers who made the day possible.
