The Year 13 Biology students had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge at the Museum. During the trip, lectures on speciation and human evolution were given which students found interesting and informative.
The biology students learnt how different species arrived and evolved upon their arrival in New Zealand, and how humans have evolved over time. They also had the opportunity to see real fossils of different moa, kiwi, and other native birds as well as the tools our ancestors used that gradually developed into the ones we now take for granted.
The talks from the lecturers were both fascinating and great fun!
