The much anticipated Y8 Peer Support Dance Off saw homerooms competing against one another for the trophy, won last year by 8CLE. Who would take away the 2016 prize?
Under the guidance of their Y12 peer support leaders, over the last few weeks the dance moves had been choreographed and practiced until perfect. Confidently and enthusiastically each homeroom took to the stage.
Each dance drew rapturous applause from the appreciative audience (particularly when the homeroom teacher joined in). It was a celebration of the gifts of dance, joy and collaboration.
Now the difficult task of judging begins. Trophies and prizes for both the Y8 Dance Off and Y7 Sing Off will be awarded at next week’s full school assembly when the winners are announced.
