The library ‘quiet room’ was abuzz with excitement as Year 7 and 8 students gathered for the Funky Friday spelling bee.
The Funky Friday events, run by the house prefects, take place every second Friday. They are used to motivate the Year 7 and 8 students to get involved with the school house system and earn points for their teams.
Previous events have included an obstacle course, a summer festival of volleyball and a half court basketball shot competition.
The prefects are happy with the numbers turning up so far, but would like to see even more student participation.
So come on Year 7s and Year 8s, get involved and join in the fun.
