A staff team comprising members of the Science and Religious Education departments and the school administration claimed victory in a keenly fought competition.
Students and staff competed against one another in teams of six, coming to grips with questions on both literature and general knowledge.
Topics ranged from The Hungry Caterpillar and Wind in the Willows to Jane Austen novels and Eleanor Catton’s ‘The Luminaries’, with teams having twenty seconds to provide answers to multiple choice questions. How many strawberries did the Hungry Caterpillar eat? How many pages are there in ‘The Luminaries’?
Great enjoyment was had by all as Library Week got off to an exciting and challenging start.
