At the Hiroshima Peace Park spring is still in the air. The strings of paper cranes with messages of peace and prayers from Sancta Maria College students hang colourfully amongst many that have brought over by different groups from around the world.
Our student group offered up heartfelt prayers for all the victims of world conflicts and the people of Hiroshima.
The highlights of the occasion as they stood before the monument were the spontaneous joining with us in prayer by other visitors and our student group singing ‘Ka Waiata ki a Maria’ to conclude our prayer session.
