Sancta Maria College had the privilege of having Rachel Moody, violinist of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) come in to provide free mentoring sessions for our music students. As one of Auckland’s best musicians, her expertise which spanned across three separate workshops, was very beneficial and all players profited from this experience.
The Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Ensembles (Accordia and Harmonique), Primo Ensemble and Light Orchestra all worked studiously with Rachel Moody and Mr. Stuart Gibbs on their repertoire for the Tuesday evening’s fundraising concert. A meticulous effort was put into the grand finale, “This is me,” where performers in all Sancta Maria Orchestras and Choirs come together to give it everything they’ve got for the climax of the show.
