Three Year 12 students have proved themselves to be some of the most talented gamers in east Auckland. Ethan Uy, Sangwoo Lee and Alyx Bolivar won a tournament organised by Omen for the game ‘Overwatch’ at Techxpo on Saturday, competing against others of all age brackets.
Their win earned them 2 headsets, 3 bags and a mouse – altogether worth around $950. Ethan says, “It was a great experience and though I didn’t think we’d win, our teamwork and sportsmanship got us to the top.” The three are to be congratulated for this amazing achievement.
