An unforgettable and memorable retreat was held for a group of 15 Year 12 and Year 13 students, starting after school on Wednesday and concluding 48 hours later. Deus Tempus means “God’s Time”, and this retreat gave the students a chance to take a step back from the real world’s time and into God’s time. The voluntary retreat gave these senior students the opportunity to reflect and learn more about themselves, their spiritual journey, as well as their faith journey.
The students had the pleasure of being led by Young Vinnies School Youth Worker Gene Paul Kiely, former student Cameron Carter Chan, teachers Ms Smith, Mr Piggin and Mrs Oliver and Year 13 students Aislinn Manuyag and Tahlisa Stevens. The retreat participants were also fortunate to be supported by St. Luke’s Parish Priest, Fr. Craig Dunford.
All the students who attended Deus Tempus 3 can only say good things about their experience on this retreat. So, it is indeed very much recommended that parents, students, and friends encourage their sons and daughters to take part in this camp next year. It is guaranteed that they will walk away with newly formed friends and of course memories that will last forever.
