The Year 7 and 8 boys basketball team needed to bounce back from an earlier loss to Farm Cove Intermediate to beat the same team in the final of the South Eastern Zone competition.
The boys went through pool play with relative ease but were upset by Farm Cove to finish 2nd in their pool. In the semi-final they met and defeated the top seed from the opposite pool, Ormiston Junior College. This gave them the opportunity to turn around their earlier result against Farm Cove in the final.
Our boys had a 1 point advantage at half time and then extended their lead with a terrific defensive effort to close out the victory, 24-16, and earn the title of South Eastern Zone Champions for 2019.
