A really good effort by everyone in the field applied pressure to the Sacred Heart batsmen and helped effect 4 run outs. Combined with 1 wicket a piece for Laurence Stewart, Aniseto Pasileo and Oscar Stewart the opposition were restricted to 127 for 7 from their 20 overs at the crease.
We started the chase well with Rory Quiding hitting his first ball for 4. Despite solid contributions from Jayden Corriera with 19 runs, Hayden Waters (pictured) with 20 runs and Oscar Stewart with 22 runs and a hard hit 11 not out by Johnathan Aviet at the end, we couldn’t quite make it, falling only 20 runs short on 107. The boys are looking forward to this week’s home game against Mission Heights as it feels like a win isn’t far away.
