Our Year 10 Textiles students have created comfy cushions as part of a school community initiative to reuse textiles materials as well as making the ground softer and warmer during cold mornings.
Students often arrive early to school to share stories, finish homework and relax before the school day begins, and now they can do it in comfort!
The cushions are soft, have a cheery message or smiley face to add colour to the school day. We are looking to grow this project and over the holiday break have a group of students creating more cushions, as well as face masks for Pink Shirt Day and the Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser in October.
