Sculpture, painting, printmaking… To express our love and appreciation for art, the academic council held a fun-filled lunch solely dedicated to art.
On Friday, October 25, the academic council held a lunchtime competition for anybody and everybody to come and participate. With the focus on the art of sculpture, participants had to create something out of cardboard, newspaper and tape. The love of art was spread through the chatter and laughter of all who came and had fun!
This competition was filled with amazing sculptures, creations and even jumbo eggs! But in the end, the winner of the competition was Jarra Piatos with her spectacular sculpture of a bunny. But art is controversial and people have different opinions on what is beautiful and elegant… all the sculptures were amazing and all the artists were winners.
The prizes, containing food-related items, were kindly donated by Pak n save. Art should be appreciated because of all the potential friendships, laughter and all sorts of fond memories it can make.
