Some Year 13 Biology students were privileged to hear about the life of Yellow-eyed Penguins from guest presenter Rosalie Goldsworthy, manager of Penguin Rescue NZ (www.penguins.org.nz) based in Moeraki, North Otago.
Students had been learning about animal behaviour and migratory paths, and Rosalie was able to extend their knowledge with a focus on the biology and behaviour of the penguins that she takes care of.
Rosalie gratefully acknowledged the fundraising initiative of students at Sancta Maria who had supported Penguin Rescue in the past through its Yellow Cup Cake day in 2019. Penguin Rescue benefits from bake sale | Sancta Maria College
