At assembly Andie He and Hannah Wilson from Westpac presented the Sir Peter Blake Young Leader Award to Anais Bebelman.
Year 8 student Anais was a top scholar in 8 subjects in 2017. She currently trains 16 hours each week in rhythmic gymnastics and last year placed 3rd at the NZ Nationals in Stage 4 (international grade) and this year she is a Junior International. Anais is in a group that placed 1st in grade 5 and won the Margaret Woolf trophy for 2017. She was competing against 18-20 year old competitors in this grade.
Anais also plays violin and fosters kittens for the SPCA. She has been on the student council and was previously head librarian at Star of the Sea. A talented young lady who seems destined for a bright future, Anais fully deserves this prestigious award.
