Congratulations to a number of Sancta Maria College students, who have put in hours of training in their given sports and have delivered the following personal successes within Athletics.
The following students achieved the amazing results at the recent College Sport Auckland Secondary Schools Championships in March:
- Cesar Garcia Soto – Junior Boys: 1st 300m, 4th 800m, 7th Long Jump, 12th 200m
- Arnika Lam – Intermediate Girls: 10th Shot Put, 11th Discus
- Thalia Lam – Junior Girls: 2nd Shot Put, 3rd Discus
- Antonie Smal – Senior Boys: 6th Shot Put, 7th Discus
In addition, the following students continued their super results at the NISS Athletics Championships at the beginning of April:
- Thalia Lam – Junior Girls Discus: 1st & 2nd Junior Girls Shot Put
- Arnika Lam – Intermediate Girls Shot Put: 7th & 14th Discus
- Cesar Garcia Soto – Junior Boys: 2nd 300m, 6th 800m, 10th Long Jump & 5th 4x100m relay team.
